This was been a beautiful project to be a part of - Colm is an absolutely remarkable creative, musician, human. It’s hard to share all of the elements that made this such a significant project.
An important foundation was wanting the site to feel duel lingual, balancing the placement of Gaeilge and English throughout, not a translated primary/secondary relationship, but a deliberate weave.
It was also to be a place to hold and weave together the fullness of Colm’s narrative and work. A space of contrasts; traditional and contemporary, light and shadow, of communal and intimate experiences.
I had the joy of collaborating with Rich Gilligan, who took the brief and created art in the deepest sense - capturing Colm at home in his studio and garden.
